I'm with sparksbet on this. You're a foreigner in any land but your own.

Eksterulo

I use "fremdulo" for foreigner only, not for stranger. For stranger, I use "nekonatulo".

"eksterulo" would be a different meaning, an "outsider". You could be an eksterulo if you are not a member of a certain organization, for example; a company might say in its privacy information that "eksteruloj" do not have access to their database (that is, people outside the company).

Alilandano is fine but a little unwieldy. I don't see "fremdulo" as being insulting or loaded but if someone saw it that way, they would be understood perfectly using "alilandano". I certainly consider myself a "fremdulo" anywhere outside the US, and I'd have no problem calling myself that.

Foreigner:Can anyone help me? Google Translate says "fremdo," but I don't trust an online translator. I'm looking for a noun, "Foreigner."

Dankon.
Eksterlandano was the one that came to mind for me.

In Esperantolando we call them, with a bit of humor, "krokodiloj"
