In English, if we wanto to describe the size of a table we might say it is '2 feet by 4 feet'. Sometimes this might be written as '2 x 4 feet' but it is still said as 'two by four feet', (we don't say 'two eks four feet').

I tried asking this question before, but somehow it went in some odd direction, so...

In Esperanto, what preposition or word should we use to describe a table that measures 2 by 4 feet?

Do we say 'Ĝi mezuras 2 futojn KONTRAŬ 4 futojn' because the dimensions are opposed to each other?

or 'Ĝi mezuras 2 futojn ORTE 4 futojn' because the dimensions are at right angles to each other?

or "Ĝi mezuras 2 futojn KAJ 4 futojn' because it has both dimensions, though to me this seems confusing.

What am I missing?

Thanks,
Daĉjo
