orthohawk:A facebook post by Phil Dorcas gave me an idea for a marketing slogan:As a native English speaker, I'm baffled. What do you intend this to mean?
"Do an end run around the NSA; use Esperanto!"

Rejsi:It's a football term meaning an attempt to avoid direct confrontation.
But what in the world does "do an end run around the" mean?

orthohawk:A facebook post by Phil Dorcas gave me an idea for a marketing slogan:For "do an end run around" I would say "ĉirkaŭevitu", literally "avoid by going around", dodge.
