I for my part use AnkiDroid almost every day (there's also an iOS and a PC version for several OSes).
Just a few minutes while I'm riding the subway to work, but as Erinja also mentioned, that keeps those words really fresh in my memory.
I usually mark the words / phrases / sentences in the book I'm currently reading and then make some flashcards for them in Anki.

Thank you all for the great advice! I really appreciate it! I'm definitely going to work hard on learning Esperanto.
