I was looking around in the book I have on Esperanto, and I couldn't find how a person would make a comparison between two things. I saw how to say that someone or something is the most (some adjective) out of a group, or to say that someone is more (adjective), but I don't know how to say "X is nothing like Y" or "X is just like Y."

I've been trying to write some short stories in Esperanto to engage sentence building, but this comes up far too often.

So how would I go about saying something like "You're just like your father?"

- You're like your father: Vi estas kiel via patro.

- You're younger than your father: Vi estas malpli agxa ol via patro.

- You're the youngest of the children: Vi estas la plej juna el la infanoj.

-You're (the) most diligent: Vi estas plej diligenta.

- You're as diligent as possible: Vi estas kiel eble plej diligenta.

Hope that helps you a bit. I think ther should be exercices in the Lernado-Section..

X tute malsamas kiel Y
or "X is just like Y."
X estas [gxuste | precize] kiel Y
So how would I go about saying something like "You're just like your father?"
Vi estas [gxuste] kiel via patro.
Vi tute samas kiel via patro.

Of course these are relatively literal examples. You might like to try a different approach, as, for example, "Vi kondutas kiel via patro", "Vi memorigas min pri via patro", etc., according to your needs.
