There are several options there and I'm thinking of ways to make a study group available in real life over a long period of time while providing teachers and mentors to new people as they spring up and to keep everyone in practice rather than learning it and then losing it from not using it on a regular basis.
Once everyone learns the language, I'm thinking some classes could cover subjects like a discussion or lecture on history, metaphysics, religious studies (comparative, historical, etc), cooking classes, archaeology, quantum physics, and any other subject we'd care to discuss and expand our vocabulary and conversation skills into various areas and fields of study, etc.
I am just beginning myself and am willing to teach (or at least organize the event) but it would be helpful to have someone to work with since I am so new.
Let me know if there is any local interest.

Obviously you're not in a dense part of the country but you might be able to make a day trip out to somewhere else, every now and then, to have an in-person conversation.
Try contacting lernu user Polaris, who is from central Oklahoma. He might be aware of some people who live midway between himself and you.

erinja:If you put Wichita in the city/state portion of your lernu profile, it will make it easier for other people from the region to find you.
