1 - Kelkaj homoj
2 - Iuj homoj
Or, is it like other languages where you would literally say Some from among the people?

Iom da homoj = a few/some people (quantity)
Iuj homoj = some people (indefinite identity)
Kelke da homoj = a small bunch of people
So the translation depends on the meaning or nuance you're looking for.

tommjames:Kelkaj homoj = a few/some people (quantity)Do you make a semantic difference between "kelkaj homoj" and "kelke da homoj"? It sounds like "kelke da" is less than "kelkaj"?

nornen:Do you make a semantic difference between "kelkaj homoj" and "kelke da homoj"? It sounds like "kelke da" is less than "kelkaj"?Quantity-wise I'd consider them more or less the same. The only difference in my mind is with analogy to the difference between "multaj homoj" and "multe da homoj", where the latter phrase suggests some kind of grouping and in the former each person is separate. That's just me though; not everybody observes this difference.
