Saluton!

I've been working through Gerda Malaperis and Chapter 8 has a couple of tricky (to me) but probably important grammar points that I want to make sure I get right. They take the form of 2-3 sentences which are nearly identical but seem to mean different things:

- Ĉu mi sekvu lin eksteren?
- Ĉu mi sekvu lin ekstere?

From my reading of my copy of "Being Colloquial in Esperanto" I'm guessing that the addition of the accusative in the first sentence refers to motion towards the outside, so would the two be translated as:

- Should I follow him [from the inside to the] outside?
- Should I follow him [around, once we are already] outside?

Another set of sentences is:

- Ĉu mi sekvu lin al la urbo? (Should I follow him towards the city?)
- Ĉu mi sekvu lin en la urbon? (Should I follow him into the city?)
- Ĉu mi sekvu lin en la urbo? (Should I follow him around inside the city?)

Do I have this at all correct?

Dankon!
Dugĉjo

Thank you for asking and answering these questions.
You've clarified things that I hadn't even got around to asking, but probably would have at some point.
