Alkanadi:You have to be somewhat left-wing politically to learn a language that unites the world. You have to be somewhat open minded to do something that is not in the mainstream. Therefore, I think Esperanto does attract certain types of people who are free thinking.
I'm not politically left-wing. At all.

Please explain your political position. I am curious. ridulo.gif
I don't prefer to engage in political discussions, but basically my position can be summarized as: The more people just mind their own business, the better the situation is, whether international, national, or individual. That doesn't mean that people and nations shouldn't communicate or have any relations, but they shouldn't interfere in each other's jurisdiction. The jurisdiction of the government is to protect the citizens, not to micromanage their every move.

Wow, awesome quote pyramid! But anarchy -- well that just seems a little carried away; we want liberty, but not complete chaos ridulo.gif!

What about cooperative anarchy, where people have the right to do as they please, and accept an obligation to not harm others in the process.

Of course this concept may be no more than a pipe dream when applied to a species that got to where it is by exterminating anything or anyone that got in the way.

Well, yeah; if all people would agree to cooperate and not harm anyone, and actually keep that agreement, that might work. But what are the chances?
