I'm new to Esperanto (working on learning it and getting involved) and I keep seeing a UEA Code that I should input. I found a place on TEJO's site where I can create one, but every time I try it comes back with an error message. Where should I go to get my UEA code?

What is UEA code? Seems to be that Tejo intends to change system which serves tejo.org domain.

When you relate to the UEA - Universala Esperanto-Asocio (eg when you sign up for congress), is assigned to you a code that facilitates future communication with the Association.

You get a UEA code when you become a (paid) member of UEA. I am not aware of a method of getting a code other than being a member. Your code is the equivalent of your member number. I am assuming that certain TEJO services are limited to UEA members only (since TEJO is the youth section of UEA), and this is why they are asking for your code.

Does "Aligxilo" mean to register? I intend to be a paid member, but it seems the registration form is also asking for the code, unless I'm on the wrong page or perhaps I should try skipping the entry field.

Dankon!

"Aliĝilo" means "registration form". Just skip the "UEA-kodo" entry field. It is there for old members who want to reregister or change something, and even they are allowed to forget it ridulo.gif It just helps to know the "kodo", a string of five letter like "abcd-e"

If you know the code the aliĝilo tells you can skip all personal information (I just tried it with my own code).

Yes, "aliĝilo" is a registration form. The registration form asks for a code but you can ignore that. That's only for members who are renewing a membership, or former members who are rejoining. Fill in everything but that and you should be fine.

Thank you all for your help. I have one more question: Does anyone know about how long it takes to process the registration? I signed up several days ago, sending my payment through Paypal, and have yet to receive any confirmation other than a decrease in my Paypal funds.
