You start from zero, and write a horrible book in the month of November, and then typically use December to edit and fix it up (or you throw it in the trash, lol!)

Anyone else want to collaborate on an aĉa rakonton with me?

jefusan:I couldn't imagine trying to write that many words in Esperanto.I think that nowadays, you can actually change the goal word-count for yourself. It seemed to be that way when I looked at the progress graph last year, anyway.

Usually during NaNo I switch between lots of unrelated stories anyway. So I might do some in Esperanto and some in English and maybe none have anything to do with each other. If I fall behind, it's easier to catch up by writing non-fiction...
I think doing tandem writing is fun but then it feels like "What can I do with the end-story? It's not really mine" and then I feel awkward. But I think it's great for boosting creativity, you can do a tandem story, likely wish something else happened instead, rewrite that part and branch out and have your own story.
