What were your sticking points/plateaus in learning Esperanto? Almost everyone experiences them in learning a new skill or discipline. I find myself highly motivated but feeling utterly unsuccessful in becoming effective at understanding and communicating in this language, despite fairly consistent effort of late. Anyone else experience the same?

I find that, while I'm pretty comfortable with chatting in Esperanto on IRC, I'm really bad at listening comprehension and also thinking fast enough to speak. I'm working on those, and some grammar things that have been tripping me up.

Most are on the intermediate plateau like me. That's a very big issue with auxlangs.
