ey knows eys house

hi, i am asking your opinion about this neologism "ey eys eyself" (after "it its itself") . that is "equivalent" to "they them their", when used as "she or he".

you have guessed, "ey" comes from "they", if i knew the english phylology, then my election would be more elegant.

Sorry if my response seems not quite the most friendly, but what does this have to do with Esperanto? Yes, for centuries writers (and speakers) have remarked on the lack of a singular non-sex-specific third person pronoun in English, but this is an Esperanto forum. Admittedly, over the generations people have brought up the same matter in E-o (such as the proponents of Ido, which has such pronouns in the third person), but it is Esperanto which is the proper subject of discussion here, not English pronouns. Thank you.

I believe that if Amigueo restate the question in the appropriate forum, it can be solved without problems, because something will be said in or about Esperanto. Ekzemple: "Saluton, mi petas vian opinion pri la neologismo "ey eys eyself" metita post "it is itself", kiu egalvaloras al "they, them, their", kiam uzata kiel "she or he". Akceptante ke "ey" venas el "they", se mi scius la anglan filologion, tiam mia elekto estus pli eleganta. [Oni atendu la respondon en Esperanto.]

about "ey". i use this forum because i do not know a better one, sorry.
the question is also useful for testing if esperanto beginners feel temptation of "regularising" english. ridulo.gif
native english people or phylologists are concerned.
the fenomenon is similar to pronoun sxli, gi, ri, ge and afix -icx en esperanto. the tendency is beyond languages.
