The universala kongreso is coming to the 100th time. Is it time for the Esperanto world to review the outcome of it ?

Korea and Canada are battling to host the 2017 event. How much money they have spent in the process of this battling? How much they can get back when they have the right to host the event?

Is the yearly UK event killing the regional events or national events?

As if UEA is controlling every event that the Esperanto is involving. Why there is not advertisement, this case, sponsors come by ?

Taking example, the Vietnam hosted the 97th UK. They got the vice president of the country to official the opening ceremony. It looked grand but nothing much is going on in the country. If the Esperanto association of Vietnam can get the vice president to open the ceremony why they cannot get a talk with the ministry of education to teach Esperanto in the schools ? In fact, Vietnam has lots of experiences in this as they hosted few times of IJK.

Vietnam is the only country in ASEAN which had an Esperanto radio programme.

Hosting an event should be a gain but not a lose in financial.

I am not particularly picking Vietnam but it is because I know it better.

The UK should be hosted in a different way and regulations, for example, the right to host the event should be, the local people must be able to speak Esperanto.

It is funny that one participate in the Esperanto event, and out of the venue, one has to use English or even the local languages. Does that help to promote the use of Esperanto ?

At least, the regulation should state that the country should have newly trainned 5000 esperanto learners. The UK should not be held yearly but rather 3 to 4 years once to let the hosting country able to conduct courses for the new learners.

In case you do not know who was the ex President of Esperanto in South Korea and currently the UEA committee member, Mr LEE

Both countries spend money to invite someone from UEA, or UEA has to pay for the flight tickets, I did not know. Should the money be wasted as such ?

UEA has limited workforce and the staff away here and there, how much time is left the work.

Beside, the libro servo, sending books across the continent. How cheap it is ?
