Practicing Esperanto on Video

Here is a brief video of me reciting a few verses from memory this morning. Feedback and corrections are welcome. I am sure my pronunciation needs a lot of work.

Thanks in advance!

Joel

Sounds pretty good! The only problems I noticed were that "mankon" sounds to me like "mankan" and "Dion" seems to be pronounced with emphasis on the last syllable.

You sounded like someone who knows what he is saying, not like someone just trying to pronounce sounds that have no meaning to him. That is very good.

Practice is very important; keep it up!

One way I practice prononciation is by singing; especially Christmas songs; here is a link to a lot of Christmas carol* lyrics in Esperanto (not recordings, just text and midi files), in case you're interested. And of course you don't have to sing on video if you don't want to ridulo.gif.

*And corny Zamenhof Day songs... But that was last week.

Dankon! You are right about mankon and Dion. Thanks for catching both of those mistakes.

I appreciate the encouragement and constructive critique.

Awesome. I didn't understand it but you look confident and it sounds good.

Thank you. I am doing my best to comprehend how the language is working in the passage and to recite it back with appropriate and conversational inflection, rather than simply as a string of words. I appreciate the feedback.
