The green star is already a symbol for Esperanto, you just enclosed it inside a circle.

Aesthetically, the star is too tight inside the circle, the green star is usually shown with a white background so black is going to look queer, the font is rather hetero and the letters offer no meaning.
Some of these points have been touched upon.

(After a few modifications) it could work for a smaller Osperanto group (Esperanto Satanists of North Dakota?) but I don't think it would work as the symbol franca of the Esperanto movement.

Paulinho:Why not a green atom bomb. The same destruction.
Same destruction... as marihuana? Obviously the marihuana leaf suggestion is not meant to be taken seriously. It did come from my brother, after all. All my brothers take any opportunity they get to pick on Esperanto, and I found this particular comment somewhat amuzing.

The thing that needs re-design is not the 5 pointed green star (long and noble history), it is the method for attaching the symbol to modern clothing.

Great idea. How about an Esperanto jeans company.

I don't know if you're joking, the but the production Esperanto themed jeans would be too risky and large of an investment to be considered (unless you make the jeans yourself).

If one wants to get started with Esperanto fashion, shirts would be the best option.

I know of this person who sells Esperanto themed shirts
http://mojoseco.spreadshirt.com/
{And I'm going to start making my own when I get around to it).

Badges can now be made with magnets instead of pins. They can be attached to any item of clothing with no damage to that clothing. And one badge can be used on multiple items (one item at a time ).

Also, iron on decals have been around for many years. They can be attached to many different types of clothing.

Ooh! Where can I buy a discreet magnetically attachable 5 star that I can wear on my leather jerkin?
