Mutusen:There's someone with the username Elhana (so almost certainly the same person) regularly posting on soc.culture.esperanto, and he is a giant troll, the best one I have ever seen.Yup! I think feeding time is over.

sudanglo:Ne malatentu la trolon. Anstataŭe, primoku lin en Esperanto. Tiel li estos devigata lerni la lingvon por kompreni la insultojn.Very bad idea. This is exactly the kind of rise trolls hope to get out of regular contributors. It will solve nothing - never does.

When you click ten times the link "hazardo artikolo" you will find often (more than 50% in my experience) bot-created stubs like this one or this one.
It is not as bad as with volapük, but still the number of "real" articles is highly exaggerated.

nornen:No matter whether elhana be a troll or not, he has a point concerning the Eo wiki. It is mostly a botopedia.Wikepedia is a share working group. If you go to English section, Chinese section, Esperanto section etc, you still see many articles are not completed.

It is not uncommon to get frustration. Please be reminded that all works are done by the volunteers. Unlike someone who is so free that can stay in lernu forum to spam all kinds of information and arguments.
Besides, when the volunteer update something, the editors might not like it and reverted to the formal ones. My experience in the wikipedia encountered the most from the Chinese section on Esperanto updates. They are not Esperantists and they do not take time to understand it. Most of the editors are Chinese who are overseas either students majoring in computer programming or a part of the culture exchange.
Most languages are trying to put the ranking higher in the wikiepedia. This is bad. The Esperanto section should have a coordinator to see which parts are vital and should be fully translated. Updates should be a part of it.
But the academic world does not recognise wikipedia as the source. Would the effort be good ?No comment on that.

Elhana2:English translation: Every Wiki is created by volunteers. The often used argument for Esperanto is its accessibility to knowledge, One could assume that a number of editors who have access to sources in many (different) languages could uncover topics in the greatest detail and with the most viewpoints. so far that has not happened.se:Please be reminded that all works are done by the volunteers.Every Wiki is being made by volunteers.
The often-used argument for Esperanto is the accessibility of knowledge. One can assume a number of editors having access to the sources in many different languages can reveal topics in the most detail and the most viewpoints. So far that is not happening.
Elhana2: Please review the chapters in your English grammar book on the present perfect. This would be helpful in aiding you to express yourself more clearly. I had to read your comment through to the end several times and pause before I was able to make sense of it.

Miland:Returning to the topic of historical works advocating Esperanto, The Green Star by Joseph Dubin is available online free. It was included in the late Don Harlow's list of recommended books.Yes we seem to have gotten quite far off the track. Thank you for those links, The Green Star looks like a very interesting book.
