I would almost certainly expect those articles to be bot-created. Sure, eventually it would be nice to have a page for each subsection of each city in each country, but I hardly call such content important in the grand scheme of things. Excuse my ignorance, but how hard can it be to get a tally for non-bot-generated content/stubs? A solid figure will be much more convincing.

It is the same with many languages, honestly - use the same template to create articles about obscure towns, obscure asteroids, obscure train stations, and just switch out the individual formation unique to each entry. It's a useful placeholder for future additions.

It is true that Vikipedio has some deficiencies, especially in the list of "1000 nemalhavendaj artikoloj" (1000 must-have articles), but it is still in a much better shape than the vast majority of language editions, some of which are quite pitiful, even those with tens of millions of speakers.

And Vikipedio is probably the only up-to-date encyclopedia in Esperanto. I believe Didi Weidmann once called it a "heritage landmark" - it is a huge, huge EO-only resource. Esperantujo's Library of Alexandria.

Very bad idea. This is exactly the kind of rise trolls hope to get out of regular contributors. It will solve nothing - never does.

Besides, it apparently already knows enough Esperanto to bother the Vidpunktoj forums anyway.
