johmue:I full agree. Participate at some Esperanto youth events, than you will see that johmue very well described Off-the-Net Esperanto community situation. The facility Internet brings people together and splits they sametime. Btw every well-operating partnership works this way. Its all about the proper balance of closeness and distance.se:Can we pull the resources together and not waste too much of timeNo, we can't and we won't. That's simply not the way Esperantujo works. Esperantujo is a very heterogenious group of completely different people who share nothing more than a common language. No more no less. There is no "we", that has a common agenda whatsoever.
If you want to get something done, get it done. If you want something to happen, make it happen. You won't be successful in calling other people's activities "waste of time", especially not in Esperantujo.

Alkanadi: . . . it would be more effective to ask people to complete a specific, small, easy to accomplish task.I think a better alternative to strictly blogging would be to encourage people to make videos, blog posts, social media posts, articles, etc. in what they are good at/interested in in Esperanto. I know that when I become a proficient speaker of Esperanto I plan on making YouTube videos in English, and then directing the viewers to see my Esperanto version for the same content with additional information. In this way I am practicing Esperanto, talking about subjects I am personally interested in (the sciences), producing more Esperanto content, and also promoting the language to anyone who sees my English version. I will try not to address Esperanto itself in my videos, sticking to subjects other than the language by which it is presented.
One of the things I have been frustrated about with Esperanto is that most of the YouTube videos I find in Esperanto are only about Esperanto, which is like having every video in English be about the English language (I am on YouTube more than other sites, so this bugs me).
Thus creating more content is important, but not strictly by one medium. Do what you are good at, be it fb, lernu, videos, blogging, Vikipedio, or whatever.

Red_Rat_Writer:Kara, certainly you did a lot on the suggestion and showed the genuine in the project. But what I suggested to use blog as a platform for the start. It is not the blogger. If any one likes to use the blog for a start to put the article, it would be fine. Others, who have money can start their own pages. But, how long can this be sustained, I do not know. But I saw many webpages closed down or survive by the donations from few esperantists, one example is the pokastaro and radio aktiva, no where to find them.
4. Risk.
Bloggers don't want to invest time into something that may not succeed. We would have to get big name bloggers on board to do this, and they probably wouldn't want to.
Well, I hope this contributes to the conversation.
The IKEF does not interested in starting one, in fact, they should come in to start one. The commercial, business training will eventually go to the Esperanto commerce too.
A week is going to pass by, if you look at the top ten threads and read the responses, and you can use your fingers to count who are they. Spending too much time on this forum is not too bad neither it is too good as I said, save the time.
I can be a coordinator as my test in managing the Malaysia Esperanto Studies group and the News In Esperanto for ASEAN gave me some ideas, most of the people won't stay for long.
Generally, I do not think I can answer well to others like congress meeting unless they have tried it before but for video blog, it is good as the TED Talk now have ventured into the TED EDU, compile all the talks related to education and host them under one page. This project interested me a lot. I always told my team to look for those Esperanto youtube and put them in Malaysia Esperanto Studies Group.
Not many in the management, administration came forward to offer the idea, presumably, what the contributors would be more on computer science, hope that is not.
Edited: puttung on the TED EDU website

The tuition fee is HK$ 50,000 per year. Of course, in Hong Kong living standard is not too high but is very high if changes to my ringgit.
Many people are still rushing for a better future.

Most of the courses are still dominated by English.
If anyone likes to a course online in Esperanto and we can test on it. Unfortunately, the University Esperanto (online) does not take in course instructors without a PH D. Perhaps, it would be best to put in the Edukado.net though it is more on esperanto and languages, the astronomy is there too.
