It seems this website is not stable in China. Can I suggest they use akamai CDN to make it more stable for Chinese users.I don't know if Chinese firewall blocked this site

Maybe because it's more likely to get a site wizard's attention here than in the chinese forum?

This is reasonable, but why mention a specific content distribution network? This would be a service that Lernu would have to pay for. This isn't exactly within the realm of my expertise, but I doubt a specific company's CDN will prevent China from blocking access to the site if they so choose. There are at least a handful of ways to bypass the great firewall. Github was recently attacked because it hosts several open source projects aimed at helping Chinese citizens bypass it.

Have Chinese firewalls finally gotten to Esperantujo?

I didn't think the government was still trying to suppress Esperanto...

The real fact is that I must use a VPN service then I can visit this website. But the strange is that without VPN,on a local network,I can ping it,the connection is unstable sometimes website cannot be opened...

Most pages with Facebook link code will be blocked.

The IKEF did a new page for the Chinese readers. But wonder how many Chinese businessmen are Esperanto speakers. A waste of time and money from IKEF.

They rather not doing the second research on Esperanto is the best business language like the French Chamber of Commerce did 8 decades ago.

This is the problem of the Esperantujo, they see many people learning Esperanto, but if compare to the population, it means less than point zero zero percent.

They should focus in the small population countries and get 1% of the people to use Esperanto. Despite Hungary has many learners, neither they use it too. No job opportunities, who is going to use Esperanto.

Sorry for the lamenting.

So you can sometimes load Lernu when not on a VPN? This doesn't sound like blocking to me, but I have no idea what your government does to your traffic. A VPN seems like the best option, because it works for all other traffic as well (not just Lernu). It would be a shame if Lernu were targeted by DDOS attacks because of it using some CDN to circumvent the great firewall. As I understand it the attackers had to have backbone-level connections to China's network, which almost guarantees government involvement (or neglect).

I'm asking the site's programmer how difficult it would be to remove the Facebook links from the Chinese version of the site, to see if that would help. No idea if that is possible, if it would require a lot of effort then we likely wouldn't do it.

I am sure that the Chinese government is not blocking Esperanto as an idea. There is a huge Esperanto community in China, and the Chinese government funds journalism in Esperanto. If the site has connection problems it is likely linked to something other than Chinese government politics.

People who are going to use English, can use Esperanto as the easiest way of getting up to speed in English:
