What Happens When Young Esperantists Meet

Contains spoken Esperanto, subtiteled in English.

I have been watching Evildea everyday recently. I am trying to improve my listening skills so it is nice to hear someone speaking fluently. Also, his stories are interesting.

Yesterday's video was about obsession. He was asking if Esperanto is an obsession. For me, I think it is. My brain requires more stimulation than the average and Esperanto helps provide something challenging. Thus, it is habit forming. Otherwise, I would get too bored with life.

02:25 '... we need to evolve ... we collapsing ... ' Is it really that way? Or is he just panicking?

He just wants to share his opinion. That is it. I don't see this as panicking.

He thinks that the local clubs are dying out. Honestly, I think he is right because when you see the local clubs they are small. I think that all clubs are dying out. Not just Esperanto. Every club is struggling to get members.

I think most Esperantists live on the net. I could be wrong.

PS. If you want to support him, make sure to watch the whole video from start to finish (or leave it playing with no sound) and also leave a comment, share, and give him thumbs up. This will help boost his video in the Youtube search engine algorithm. You can also click on the ads to support him financially.

I wish that lots of people, especially those who are fluent Esperanto speakers, would make some Youtube videos. Youtube is a great way to reach people. It is also nice to see people talking in Esperanto or about Esperanto.

You can even make money with it. I normally make about $100 a month but sometimes it can be as high as $500 a month depending on how many people click the ads and how much each click is worth.

My dream is to have a passive income so I can just work on my own projects, like learning Esperanto really well. But, I digress. The point is that I wish there were lots more Esperanto videos out there on Youtube.

What's the point of Youtube videos as opposed to audio only podcasts?

I quite like Evildea's Youtube Esperanto lessons, where he teaches Esperanto while playing games such as World of Warcraft. I have no interest in WoW, but I must admit it is *far* more visually engaging than watching someone standing in front of a white board lecturing. Also, I think it's more effective: the game provides context that makes the words "stick" in your mind better. He also explains his process for the creation of WoW-specific terms, which is interesting and helpful in parsing the meaning of new vocabulary.

I assume some lecturer doing audio recordings acts different than somebody who is recorded in sight. Furthermore, assumed lecturer speaks your native language, somebody can grasp lectures ideas better due its gestic than some audio only lecture.

I am not talking about teaching. Just about talking. in kern.punkto we don't teach Esperanto or anything. We just talk about various topics in Esperanto. What additional benefit the video would have? It would be just more work, more data volume, more difficult to keep up quality. I just don't see the point.
