North American Conventions/Gatherings

Hey guys, I'm just wondering if anyone can tell me about any North American Conventions or gatherings that are being help within 2015. I'm new to Esperanto and I think I want to get out and meet other Esperantists, but all the conventions I've been able to find are being held far far away from where I live in Ontario.

Yeah, there's the Nord-Amerika Somera Kurso (NASK) in North Carolina. Prices and information can be found here. I've never been to it, but I've heard positive reviews.

You're in luck! The US and Canadian Esperanto associations are having a joint congress in Detroit this summer - June 26-29!

Hopefully you're getting to take part in MeKaRo this weekend in Toronto.

And not too terribly far from Ontario there's the annual Aŭtuna Renkontiĝo de Esperanto (ARE) held in Silver Bay, New York.

If you are close to Stanford then maybe this would be good:
Free and open classes Tuesday evenings, 6:30 to 8:30pm, during the Academic year... Please check the International center's event calendar to make sure our classes are happening!

When classes have started, feel free to begin, any time! Just, please, send an email first, and print the lessons for your own reference in class, or bring a laptop (or other wi-fi enabled device - there is free wi-fi for all) to follow along.
