“We are considering adding more people to our team to handle the load [of reports]. Would you enjoy processing these reports? A native English speaker? You're passionate and very knowledgeable about Esperanto? Four free hours to spare each week? If yes, then please apply to join our international team for the ride of your life: http://incubator.duolingo.com/apply”

I guess the fact they're "flooded" means a lot of people are using the course! Which is good news ...

Tempodivalse: I guess the fact they're "flooded" means a lot of people are using the course! Which is good news ...Yes, they currently have 19,000 learners, and this is only beta!

marbuljon:I don't get it. When they started making the Duolingo course they talked about how they had SOOO many applicants who had wanted to help create it. Why not just pick from those guys? : /1. That was a couple months ago. People interested there might not be interested now.
2. They might be trying to contact them. They did just add two new members; those might be from the original applicant pool.

1. Create a free account on Duolingo and enroll in the Esperanto course there. You can go to the "Checkpoints" to "test" out of some sections faster. As you note errors or opportunities for improvement, send us reports (within the course, NOT here) which we will then use to improve it.
2. Help out in the Duolingo Esperanto discussion threads where learners ask lots of questions. We on the team are so busy handling reports that it's hard for us to also respond to every grammar or usage question there.
3. Join the Duolingo Esperanto Learners Group on Facebook, which has over 1,000 members. There you can answer users' questions, which they find very helpful.
We have just added 2 new team members, and may add more in the future. But you are right, we do have a list of candidates to choose from.
We also repeatedly and consistently recommend lernu! to our Duolingo learners.
Thanks to all of you for your interest!
