Crossing Dover to Calais is ridiculously expensive when travelling as a foot passenger.

And inconvenient too, with the requirement to turn up 45 minutes beforehand or miss the bus that runs foot passengers round from the check-in to the boat. You not allowed to simply walk onto the boat even though it may be less than 100 yards away from the terminal.

If anybody is crossing to France on Friday 25th July would be happy to meet you in Dover and share costs. Also once in Calais, happy to leave you at the port and continue by train to Lille if you are short of space in the car.

Maybe you'll have to bump this a few times closer to the date.
