Please pardon me as I do not have much experience in the world congress of any sort but more into the world conferences.

The 100th world congress of Esperanto attracted more than 2000 participants from more than 80 countries. It is a good sign but I found some issues of the validity of participants from a country.

Do you consider Dennis Keefe , famous esperantist a Chinese or an American ? He holds the American passport, presume and works in China.

The Chinese sites of Esperanto are proud to include him as the participants from China which would be top the group. Chinese are crazy for this for years. Quantity is the main focus instead of the quality.

I also found one from Malaysia. Ho, mia dio, how could he represent Malaysia to the world and telling the world that Malaysia has participant but not doing anything in promoting Esperanto in Malaysia.

Shouldn't the data put the original country, passport holder and current country which one resides for not confusing the world.

Dennis has lived in the US since last year. He and I are organizing the next Landa Kongreso (2016) for Esperanto-USA. I know that he lives here because I have visited him here and we spent the whole day together in Miami yesterday visiting possible locations for the congress. But I would understand why China would want to claim him as well. He is a hard worker and does a lot for Esperanto.

Yes, kara, I knew it and I also read about his return to academic world like Penny Vos in Australia to do PH D so that much better to better work for the esperantujo.

But, why his name appear in the China delegate but not in the USA delegates.

How UEA can convince the world that the number of esperanto speakers in each country. They seem do not live in the internet age.
