I LOVE this!! "For millions of years the Dinosaurs were beyond doubt the Lords of the Earth. They were big, numerous, varied, powerful and admirable indeed. But the future belonged to the small Mammals they did not even notice."

heh heh

Roch:Well, I already heard that if it wouldn't have been of a let say ~random~ big cataclysm like that giant meteorite hitting the planet, the mammals wouldn't have developed (much) among the dinosaurs... timemo.gif
It wasn't random. Given enough time, a giant meteor will hit.

This is great, thank-you; I saved a bookmark to your page of links and will enjoy them. I'm not a very active student and most dinosaurs probably died before reaching my age in years, but when the economic meteor hits and wipes out the English-speakers, I'll be glad for my studies into other communications!

Indeed, English is already a dead language. Its obituary was published in The Washington Post, on Sunday, September 19, 2010. The obit starts off, "The English language, which arose from humble Anglo-Saxon roots to become the lingua franca of 600 million people worldwide and the dominant lexicon of international discourse, is dead. It succumbed last month at the age of 1,617 after a long illness."
