I am coming up to finishing the Duolingo course for Esperanto. I've done a few of the courses here on Lernu mostly in the baznivelaj section. There wasn't much new to learn in Duolingo vs what I already learned from Bildoj kaj demandoj and a little bit of Ana Pana but I was just wondering what others, who completed the Duolingo course, thought.

Is the Duolingo course alone enough to pass the baza exam here on lernu.net?

Why don't you just try the baza exam and find out, and report back? It doesn't take a super long time to take the exam and since questions are organized by grammatical point, the exam does a good job of pointing out areas that you are weak on, that might require more study. I bet others would be glad to hear about your experience.

I passed the baza exam on the strength of duolingo.

I am almost done. I think it will be about 2 more weeks. I have 6 skills left.

I would say yes. It's probably even enough to at least pass the intermediate exam.
Don't try the advanced exam till thee has done a LOT of reading and conversing.
