So I translated a song. It was the first thing I translated into Esperanto (not counting Duolingo sentences), and I posted it here in the Esperanto-speaking section of the site for feedback, but I haven't got any in five days. So I thought I'd try my luck here.

I just went over the lyrics again, revising it, checking words, and applying what I have learned over the past days. At the time I thought I maybe translated it far too literally, but to my surprise I kind of like it reading it back.

And below that line is the second draft of my translation. It's a little cheesy, but hey, it's a love song.
Oh, and I translated it in such a way that you can sing it to the music, if you add a few notes here and here.

I just found a few minor mistakes in spelling, tense, and grammar, which I fixed in the post above.

And I guess maybe I'm not getting any responses because people feel that to post a response they have to give their opinions on the entire text. (Which is not true!) So let me try shift the focus to a single line:

Original text: I saw you smiling at me / Was it real or just my fantasy?
Current translation: Jen, vi ridetis al mi / Ĉu vere aŭ estis imago?

Things I'm not sure about here:

I'm not sure if it's desirable or even possible to have "Ĉu [adverb] aŭ [phrase]?" So which of these would you prefer:

• mixed: Ĉu vere aŭ estis imago?
  
• noun symmetry: Ĉu vero aŭ mia imago
  
• verb symmetry: Ĉu veris aŭ mi imagis?
