sudanglo:International Communist Current still seems to me like an odd name for an organisation, but assuming that current here means like the current in a river, then possible translations preserving the image are tajdo, fluo, fluso, and even kurento.

However, a slightly different image might sound better, and that is 'ondo' (wave).

There is a well known magazine in Esperantujo called La Ondo de Esperanto. A definition in PIV supports this figurative use - 4.(f) provizora intensiĝo de ia sento, influo, fenomeno.

Also from the Tekstaro: Malfeliĉe — aŭ ĉu feliĉe? — ne daŭris longe ĝis mi sentis saman naŭzon pri la politika ondo!

So Tutmonda Konferenco de la Internacia Komunista Ondo.

As regards 'lefties', in modern usage, maldekstrulo is well supported (also dekstrulo for someone on the right). Historically though the term has been used for someone who is left-handed. PIV gives both meanings.

Unfortunately there are other groups with wave in there names, or events referred to as waves so this may create confusion. There's also a strip about a group called Ray of Light, and others with names so long I'm not even going to touch them for awhile. I think fluo is the best alternative since kurento denotes electricity. I think I'll go with maldekstreguloj for the title, with maldekstrismo as a fall back if it causes confusion.

Here's what I hope is the final draft of this strip.

I would make two suggestions:

1. If you want something for the left-wing world, instead of Maldekstreguloj (left-wing rules??) I would have La Maldekstrema Mondo or even Maldekstemujo/Maldekstremio

2. The notice should have Konferenco (not accusative)

Another point, about "Great Moments." Wouldn't you say that in English when we refer to, say, great moments in history, by "great" we mean "big and important" rather than "really good"?

If it were me, I would translate "Great Moments" as "Grand(eg)aj Momentoj" or "Egaj Momentoj."

"egaj momentoj" sounds weird in Esperanto. No real grammatical reason, and "Etaj momentoj" would sound totally normal, it's just a usage thing I guess, "eta" is used on its own much more frequently than "ega".

Though "Momentegoj" would sound normal!

Left wing world? And the esperanto dictionary said Mal/dekstregulo was used to mean a member of far left/right. And half the google searches for the word give me social media profiles with the word mixed with a bunch of other labels.

I chose Bonegaj because it seemed to come the closest to demonstrating the absurdity. Great as in size might work here because the jokes two blokes in a phonebox but some of the other strips do involve large groups and events. I'm leaning towards gravaj momentoj too,

Hmm, I guess I can use both, in fact I think gravaj would be funnier for the strips about really trivial stuff, with bonegaj being used for the ones that might actually be important but aren't very good. Does this make sense?
