If I was making a title for a book or a caption for a photo, which one would be correct?

Unu tagon poste.

For these sort of questions about usage you will find it profitable to learn how to search the Tekstaro - details on how to compose search strings are given in 'Klarigoj kaj helpo' (appears in red letters on the home page).

In this case you will see that the results from entering the search string \w+oj?n\b poste include many examples of the structure.

This string means display hits for any word ending in 'on' or 'ojn' followed by the word 'poste'.

The functions of \w, ?, and \b are explained in the help notes

sudanglo:..learn how to search the Tekstaro..
This must be one of the most useful and helpful messages that I've seen for some time!

Well..you did trim off the part where Sudanglo wrote

sudanglo:..you will find it profitable to learn how to search the Tekstaro..
That seems pretty helpful to me, and learning to use the Tekstaro does reward itself, right?

It is one of my favourite websites. The problem is that it doesn't have the ability to search photo captions, and there aren't enough titles to provide meaningful data.

In English, we use different grammar for titles and captions (such as the removal of the indefinite article). I wasn't sure if a title or caption would use the accusative in Esperanto.
...from entering the search string w+oj?nb poste ...
I used this regular expression WWw+sw+oj?nb poste. (the backslashes aren't showing up in the post for some reason) to see if I could find a comparable sentence to mine. There was only 1 result:
La rezulton poste.

Thank you. I will try to limit my questions so that I don't bother people.

Surely you could also say post unu tago.

The simple explanation is: if there is no preposition before the measure of time, you want to use the accusative of time.

Searching the Tekstaro is illuminating, but there is no substitute for knowing why you use a particular form, rather than trying to rely on your intuitions (which often don't carry over well from your native language).

No one's accusing you of being a bother! People just like to point out resources that others may not be aware of. For all sudanglo knew, you might never have heard of the Tekstaro. It's fine to ask here (but of course also a good idea to make use of other resources, which you seem to do as well, which is great).

I am accusing myself of being a bother. I think I post too much.

You just need to type 2 slashes instead of 1.
