What Zamenhoff said about a gender neutral pronoun over a hundred years ago.

Now, if someone brings it up, just mention this to them.
I think this is better than ri, ŝli, zi, li, ect...

Alkanadi:What Zamenhoff said about a gender neutral pronoun over a hundred years ago.I totally agree, this was settled a hundred years ago, stop messing with this and use your time to create content in Esperanto, spread its use, lobby for it or whatever fits your bill.

The question of whether to have an inclusive third person pronoun ri (or equivalents like ŝli, and others) is an old debate. I don't use ri myself, but I don't have strong feelings about it either.
IMO the test of any innovation in Esperanto will have to be usage - does it become popular in common use because it feels a need of some sort? I'm not sure whether ri has been used in Esperanto congresses, but if someone knows, by all means tell us!
