That is less complicated. I guess the way this works is that you find the program, then apply to the University that offers it.

The AIS surfaced again when I read this thread. Many esperantists can crowdfunding the participants of congress but few can come to help in the academic work though the Poland linguistic course got some respond, a Brazil esperanto course got started.

I did not get any respond from AIS, some said it is already ceased operation.

I think this is the good place for science development.

However, I still feel the esperantujo should get out of the past and walk into the future with the concept of MOOC.

Serving the people should be the main priority. But kongresoj is the vital part of the esperantujo.

How much money is ready required ? The registration for the University of Esperanto is there, whether it is for fun or for real. Use the resources from the Youtube.

Now real problem is the talent we have in the esperantujo. How many esperanto speakers are in the field of administration , management , marketing, biology etc ? What I gather, mostly are people in etiher IT or the psychology. That is fine with these to begin with. But the whole thing, is the esperantujo never think how much money they wasted in the process of UKo kongreso, it is not the registration fee, it is the whole, total amount. Why the Argentina UKo has less than 800 participants. It is too far.

Just imagine, one participant needs to spend about 1500 Euro, airfare, lodging etc, this is very minimal and from the nearby area. If 100 participants could folk out that 1500 x 10 =15,000 Euros to begin with the investment capital. The expenditure for the UK is for personal pleasure but setting up a online university is for long term gains.

These 10 persons can be the shareholders of the company and in due course, they can get back their money. Doing crowdfunding, for small amount, it is easy to achieved but not a big amount.

As I lamented many times, if UKo can do it once in four years or five years, let other profesional, local congress to florish. The participants from the UKo can invest the money in the building more items even the real University and continue it in San Marino.

Each year about 1000 UKo participants, 500 x 1500=75,000 euros. Near a million.

But UEA never has new management skills. 100th UKo has nothing much achievement. The 1985 UNESCO resolution is not respected by NGO, the WFUNA passed resolution to use Esperanto in 1979, UEA never do the liason job to urge the NGO to use Esperanto and get the WFUNA to respect their own resolution.

What a funny thing is the WFUNA has the Korean site,is it because of the Ban Ki-Boon the secretary that Korean has the special right on that ?

Olympic games will be in Korea, the Korean Esperanto Association can do a page on Esperanto, I think the official page will not reject that.

Kara, get out of the thinking box. I am not interested in Esperanto course. There too many now online and on apps.

What I wish is the knowledge courses like management, economics, administration, agriculture etc.

Knowledge is the power, if the poor families can have knowledge from whichever language, they can change their lives and at the same time change the world.

I have an idea for you. Create these types of courses on Udacity. If you spearhead the project, I am sure that lots of people would want to help.

I have been thinking about something like this myself.
