I'm having trouble translating my word "thinkaliker" which is my direct translation from my main language Croatian "istomišljenik". I use this word to address people who think alike me and they mean a lot. I also plan to use this word in my video game.

If I'd use the word "homo-" in the compound, it would mean "homosexual" to many perverted enemies in my life and embarrass me and my people.
If I'd use the word "ego-" which means equal, it would mean "egoist" which is totally opposite from what I and my people are.

Can you please translate this word for me?

Samideano

Samideano would be good, but in Esperanto this word means a man with the certain idea - to learn and support Esperanto.
So, it will be another word what begins with sam-, e.g. sampensanto.

The Esperanto root hom/ is simply a gender-neutral term for "person", like the German Mensch and Russian chelovek. It has nothing to do with homosexuality, which is translated as samseksemo.

The word you are looking for in Esperanto is samideano (cf. Russian: edinomyshlennik). It does not have to mean "supporter of Esperanto"; taken literally it just means "same-idea-member".
