Kirilo81:How do we say Eureka in Esperanto then? Is it really spoken like this EŭrekaAlkanadi:Shouldn't it be pronounced and spelled like this: JurikaThis is very biased as you count only the English pronounciation.

I am not sure of the advantage of shouting "euxreka" or "Heuxreka", rather than the Esperanto meaning, which is of similar length - "Trovite!"

Alkanadi:According to classical Greek pronounciation (well, the one I was taught) it should be something like εὕρηκα /'heu̯rɛːka/ héŭreeka (ee = long open-mid e; note the spiritus asper on the ey) unlike English jurika or German hojreka. Unfortunately Esperanto lacks long vowels and proparoxytona.Kirilo81:How do we say Eureka in Esperanto then? So the closest Esperanto transliteration would be heŭreka.
