What is worse?

1- mistakes in Esperanto text, such as in books or forum posts

2- mistakes in Esperanto speech, such as in youtube videos or formal speeches at Esperanto events

Your categories encompass totally different things.

A grammar mistake in a prepared text that should have been edited (like a book or an official speech) is much worse than a grammar mistake in something that is relatively off-the-cuff (a forum post, an informal YouTube video where you just talk to the camera)

As Erinja said; in a prepared environment, it's much worse.
In informal circumstances, speech errors are much less noticable, especially when talking at full speed.
Edit: Fek, I voted on the wrong one. Should've voted text.

So that means the textual mistake is worse then right?

I think almost everybody makes small grammatical/pronunciation/vocabulary mistakes from time-to-time when speaking even their native language.

It is very easy to correct a text, but not an audio record or a video file.

No. It means I reject the entire basis for the poll.

The poll categories both encompass a formal and an informal setting (big speech at an event versus chatting with your friends; a book you've published versus a forum or blog posting).

The big speech at an event, which is technically speech in this poll, should have been written and edited. Few people give an important speech completely off the cuff. I would be very disappointed to hear an error in a formal speech.

There are very often errors in formal speeches, even when they have been written and rehearsed. The better the speaker, the less they tend to rely upon written material.

You are right, of course, that there is a difference between the formal/informal aspects. It makes the poll mixed.
