I got this answer from the user erinja, when I asked.
"La ekzemanoj bedaŭrinde ne plu funkciis post kiam ni transiris al nova servilo, do ni forprenis ilin, ĉar ne estas utilo en ekzameno kiu markas ĉiun uzanton kiel \"malsukcesa\" (malgraŭ ties sukceso!)."
Seems like the exams for some reason stopped working, and instead of having someone fixing it, it was decided to remove them. The developers say they will spend time on completing the new page, instead of fixing the old one. I understand a new page (remade form scratch) will be launched soon.
When I asked if there will be exams in the new page, she wrote that they've recieved many messages about it and that they are considering creating some kind of similar function in the new page. However it is not a priority.
