I don't know if I have a business mind. I run one, but it doesn't need much marketing; even though, admittedly, it relies on embedded ideas of luxury and heritage. Which is a sort of marketing advantage.

Alkanadi:I'm talking about the ones who got involved in Esperanto in their teenaged years and are now middle-aged, the kind of people running large associations or foundations. Their work keeps the movement running. You can disagree and say that these things don't help Esperanto but I have seen Movado watches on the wrist of a president of the UEA and the former (retired) president of a foundation that gives funding to support research about Esperanto and to teaching of Esperanto.erinja:It's not uncommon to see a Movado watch on the wrists of the movers and shakers of the Esperanto world, probably due to this link.Who are the movers and shakers and what do they do specifically to help spread Esperanto?

All groups have their trade marks to show belonging and loyalty. It is like a gang tattoo although much milder.

It's more like, you have been involved in Esperanto for many years, and you are at a stage in your life where you have the money and interest to buy a very expensive watch, so why not buy the Esperanto one versus a non-Esperanto one? At least that's what I assume.
