The Canadian Esperanto Association (KEA) is making up to two scholarships of up to 1000 CAD available to enable participation in this year’s North American Summer Esperanto Institute (NASK). Each applicant,
(a) shall be a Canadian resident;
(b) shall be a member of KEA — We welcome applications from new members of KEA, and one can even join and immediately apply for a scholarship;
(c) shall send a message, in which they justify their application, to Geoffrey Greatrex , by April 15, 2016. It is recommended that applicants describe their previous experience in the Esperanto community, and that they write their application in Esperanto. Don’t worry if your Esperanto isn’t perfect; you have a better chance of receiving a scholarship if your message is written in Esperanto with mistakes than if it’s written in another language.
We usually don’t receive many applications for scholarships, so every application will certainly be considered. The decision to award scholarships will be made by the educational commission of KEA.

Are they offering stewardships, scholarships, grants, or anything else for people who want to get their master's degree and PhD?

No. This is only a scholarship for attending NASK, a summer Esperanto immersion program that runs for about a week and a half.

But it is a great event, lots of fun, Esperanto all day, activities and excursions mixed in with the classes, and it will be held this year with the Kino-Teatro-Festivalo (Film-Theatre-Festival), so participants will be able to participate in both. The instructors this year include Bertilo Wennergren, author of the PMEG grammar guide and all around funny guy, and Tim Morley, who gave a well-known TEDx talk on the value of learning Esperanto as a gateway to foreign languages.
