erinja:go build your own version of the site with equivalent functionality
What is the benefit of doing that?

That I get to stop hearing you talk about how much better you could do it in a day. I'd rather see you put your money where your mouth is than to continue banging on about how much better you can do it, without actually lifting a finger to prove it.

I was asking about what benefit I will get. Of course, you will be dazzled and amazed because you don't realize how easy it is these days to develop a website.

The proof is in the pudding. Verduloj, which is a pretty good Facebook clone, was developed in a short time by someone who doesn't know much about IT.

So I suggest you dazzle and amaze me, or else drop the subject.

When someone goes on and on about how well they can do something, and about how they could totally dazzle and amaze you if only they wanted to, without showing a shred of proof, I assure you that people listening to you feel the opposite of dazzled and amazed.

You will get credibility; something you currently lack.

Verduloj is a bulletin board with a skin on it (and some other features). Lernu is coded from the bottom up, start to finish. It's like comparing flatpack furniture to the work of a cabinet maker.

erinja:The exam system was removed from the site. It didn't make it through the site's transition to a new server last fall - the exam system was too old and broken to function correctly with the new server, and users were getting errors instead of correct exam results, so we removed them from the site. Not much point in taking a broken exam that will mark you as "failed" every single time, regardless of how well you did!
Thanks for the information. I was just looking for the vocabulary list that went with the tests.

I think if you re-read the comments, you will see that you were the one who brought it up.

I think if you re-read the comments, you will see that you were the one who brought it up.
If you reread the comments, you'll find it was actually you who reignited it; in message number eight to be precise.
