Do the proficiency exams still exist?

They seem to be trimming the site in accordance with the 80/20 principle.

The exam system was removed from the site. It didn't make it through the site's transition to a new server last fall - the exam system was too old and broken to function correctly with the new server, and users were getting errors instead of correct exam results, so we removed them from the site. Not much point in taking a broken exam that will mark you as "failed" every single time, regardless of how well you did!

Any plans to put in a revised edition some time? It would be a pity if they were never available again.

First priority is to get the new site up and running. The exams may possibly come back, or not. The new course structure will be quite different. There is also a possibility of a collaboration with Edukado.net on an exam system, Edukado has had in mind to offer online exams for quite some time, and it may be that we will not offer exams but they will.

I was a bit miffed about losing the results I had gained. I didn't get failed by the marking system. It's done now so I just forgot about it.

Not sure when you took it exactly (before or after the server switch) but the error that people were getting was that they exceeded the maximum time allowed for the exam (and then they'd be given an absurd number of minutes that they had allegedly spent on the exam).

This is what I was talking about before when I said that it is better to build off existing software then to do everything from scratch.

The hard way: Program everything from scratch

The super lazy way:

Building off existing software:

If you need help then let me know.

That is a very odd error. Is the time stamp created on the server or client side?

There are lots of smart programmers in the Esperanto community. What about sharing the code so that everyone can analyse it?

If you think it's so easy, then go build your own version of the site with equivalent functionality. Then we'll talk. We've been through this before. I'm sorry, but you have no idea what you're talking about with regard to the functionality of this site.
