Alkanadi:..It is near the bottom.I've just looked at that message. It says only that gypsies use a toothpowder made from charcoal. In fact I know which toothpowder that is, because I've seen it, and a branded form can be bought on amazon.

What is "proper" is a matter of opinion. You seem to be the only person so far to have made an explicitly offensive comment on this matter, so perhaps it is only you who deserves a warning, unless you clarify your statement.

The rules are arbitrary and subjective.

Roch:Haha, I'm seeing Vestitor like a type of troll...Have you considered an eye test?

not always easy to define them though...

Alkanadi:You might keep all of that in mind when publicly insinuating that people wearing pink are most likely to be gay. Straight people wearing pink will be annoyed at being misrepresented and gay people may be irritated at being stereotyped.tommjames:This will cut no mustard with anyone armed with a dictionary..."Under common law, to constitute defamation, a claim must generally be false and have been made to someone other than the person defamed. Some common law jurisdictions also distinguish between spoken defamation, called slander..."

And I fail to see anything offensive about a statement that a certain group cleans their teeth with a traditional method that doesn't involve a toothbrush and toothpaste. There are a lot of traditional tooth cleaning methods and many of them are effective (even if they don't taste very nice). Perhaps you can tell me what's offensive about using a tooth cleaning method other than what's common in the industrialized west.

Roch:Oh my... In the same threadtommjames is a good tutor.
Vestitor said: I've been corresponding with tommjames as a tutor (intermittently I must add!) and I find that he is very prompt and helpful. Even when I left months between lessons.

That's nice.
Stated as though there is a point.
I am more confused than ever. This is good practice for being online probably. Please admin, don't delete this amazing thread. I can't wait to see what comes next.. I couldn't possibly guess.
I pops over to lernu every other day or so when I ain't working just to read a little esperanto; generally the posts and arguments are kinda silly.. a few serious statements and a good batch of off-the-wall, but no worries, sure I'll even get involved now and then. It's good practice; keeps me from loosing the lang.
Not sure why I reads the english posts too. Not like I'm going to get a chance to loose english. For some reason the exchanges fascinates me.

Couldn't the same logic be used to counter this argument? Nobody is forcing you to read this thread.
The thread is relevant because the subject is about Lernu.
