Since there is no word in Esperanto for Proctologist, I would like to suggest the word maldentisto. This is partly meant as a joke.

Saluton. Mi estas maldentisto.

I'll be interested to see what we come up with for this. I did find a Wikipedia entry for colorectal cancer. kojlorektuma kancero, so perhaps kojlorektumo could give us the root. Kojlorektumisto = Proctologist (?) So then what would we call proctology? kojlorektuma scienco?

For medical terms, a medical dictionary can be just what the doctor ordered.

The Medicina Vortaro of Universala Medicina Esperanto-Asocio (UMEA), under PROKT/O, has '-ologio' for the science and practice, so it follows that that the practioner is 'proktologo'.

For a quick reference to Esperanto dictionaries online, this is handy: eo.wikipedia.org/wiki/Esperantaj_vortaroj_en_la_reto
