Does anybody know of either a scholarly journal or on-line forum that publishes qualitative research studies in Esperanto? I'll plan on asking in the Esperanto forums as well. I have heard that there is scientific work being published and disseminated in Esperanto. I'd like to know where to access qualitative studies such as ethnographies or phenomenological research, etc.

There's not a unified website. Researchers often will publish articles on their own websites but not in a centralized database.

These links might be interesting or useful.

ESF (last link) is working on a new version of its website that will have more research paper type stuff combined into one place but the new site isn't complete yet.

Thank you, I will look at those sites. I can't help but think that Esperanto and ethnographic research are an excellent combination.

I don't recall ever seeing ethnographic research in Esperanto. Much of the research published in Esperanto has related somehow to computers and language (machine learning, for example, or machine translation or computational linguistics) or to Esperanto itself. And a small number of scholars who do whatever research they do and write their paper both in Esperanto and in the language of their university.

I hope this helps.

"Students write their thesis in two parallel languages: Esperanto and a second language of their choice (usually their native language). Research papers, too, are often written in two languages to reduce influence of language on the paper's logic."

"In 2006 the AIS consisted of about 250 scientists, among them a little fewer than 50 full members, including co-founder Reinhard Selten."
