Is there a more specific way to say "cat food"?

kat-nutraĵo;
por-kata nutraĵo;
kato-kaĉo; (useful for a more derogatory reference)
lad-viando por katoj; (the prefix 'lad-' tells us it is tinned)
lad-manĝaĵo por katoj

Yes perhaps, provided you hyphenate (sic) kato-manĝaĵo, or make it one word katomanĝaĵo.

'Cat food' would generally be the canned stuff not any stuff a cat might consider as food eg small rodents, birds etc

But in Korea Hund-manĝaĵo might be a meal for humans, though I think it more likely you would just say hundaĵo (compare kokidaĵo, bovaĵo etc).

I always say "kata manĝaĵo", and so far everyone understands.

"Miaj du-jaraj fratoj ĉiam emas manĝi la katan manĝaĵon, sed ne sian vespermanĝon!"

If I wanted to speak of cat meat I would say "kataĵo".

"La kelnero diras, ke tio ĉi estas kokaĵo, sed mi forte suspektas, ke ĝi estas kataĵo."
