gxangelo - is it still functioning?

Hi, I'm just a starter
I was directed to http://www.gxangalo.com/ as a news source in Esperanto, but from the little I understand, the news items seem to be quite out of date.

Is it now defunct?

Are there other good Esperanto-language news sites?

I don't know about Gxangelo. It doesn't look very active to me. I can recommend Libera Folio and eo.eventeo though. Both are quite frequently updated, the 2nd often a few times a day.

Ĝangalo shut down quite a while ago. I think around two years back. For a while Flavio Rebelo, who ran it, tried to sell it. I don't know that anything is happening with it at this point.

It's too bad, because I enjoyed visiting.

Its also a pity because a number of 'introducing Esperanto' sites still have links to it - not a great first impression builder for those wanting to see what's available in the language...
