Compound Tense in Esperanto

I have doubts about the use of the compound tense in Esperanto.My question is is correct to use it?When to use it?
Please help me!

Don't use compoud tenses in active voice if you can. It is better to use simple tenses and add words "baldaŭ", "jam", "nun" and so on, prefixes and suffixes such as "ek-", "-adi" and others, if they are needed.
