I am a new Esperanto learner. I have been reading the English version of the grammar pages on this site. I am somewhat discouraged by the large number of errors in the pages. Some of them are simple typographical errors and it's easy to see what was intended. Some are grammatical errors in the English text. Some are, I am pretty sure, mistranslations between English and Esperanto -- these are much more troubling since, as a new learner, I may not always recognize such errors. In a few cases there are clear errors in the Esperanto text that even I can recognize. I am concerned that there may be more errors in the Esperanto text that I am not able to detect due to my limited knowledge of Esperanto.

Are these grammar pages new and perhaps not yet fully proofread? Are there any plans to improve the text? Or is this grammar document perhaps available somewhere else on the Internet in a more correct form?

Here are a few of the errors I've noticed, from just three of the grammar pages (Word Creation, Relative Clauses and Verbs). My sense is that all of the pages have a similar density of errors.

--Word creation--
"teh root's meaning" should be "the root's meaning" (spelling)
"both have teh meaning of an action" should be "both have the meaning of an action" (spelling)
"critized" should be "criticized" I think (spelling)
"althoug" should be "although" (spelling)
"Lada skatolo however is a certain type" should be "Ladskatolo however is a certain type" I'm pretty sure (wrong Esperanto phrase used)
"Other roots indicate animals"... A completely wrong list of words follows, erroneously copied from the previous list.

--Relative Clauses--
"me might not catch cold" should be "he might not catch cold" (spelling or translation error?)
"compliment" should be "complement" (spelling, at least six times on this page)
"The understands the sermon" should be "He understands the sermon" (spelling?)
"poor tin soldiers" should be "poor tin soldier" (typo or English grammar)
"quite sraight" should be "quite straight" (spelling)
"One can also use 1}tiuokaze" should be "One can also use tiuokaze" (???)
"relates only to kiam: {5} = {6}" I have no idea what was intended here.
"Also [2}antaŭ ol is a comparison" should be "Also antaŭ ol is a comparison" I think (???)
"Tow time frames" should be "Two time frames" (spelling)

--Verbs--
"happen in future" should be "happen in the future" (English grammar)
"happend" should be "happened" (spelling)
"completed in future" should be "completed in the future" (English grammar)
"once it will start" should be "once it starts" (English grammar)
"predicte" should be "predicate" (spelling)
"circumstancial" should be "circumstantial" (spelling)
"to light the fajron" should be "to light the fire" (Esperanto word used in English sentence)
"viziting" should be "visiting" (spelling)

Hi Markn444,
I am also a new learner and noticed many of these same problems. It is disconcerting, especially since I am dependent on this site for its expertise!
I notice that many people have read your message, but no one else has responded. Is there someone officially in charge of the course and grammar pages? Does anyone know about the proofing process, etc.
Thank you Markn444 for bringing up this issue.

At the end of every page here in Lernu is a link "Kontaktu nin". It opens a blank to report things. Perhaps you should use it to report your observations. I have used it to report spam postings, but I don't know, if it has helped.

Thank you. I will try that.
