Multaj is a relative term. It all depends on context. (What is a lot of money for a pauper may be a trivial amount for a millionaire).
The context with regard to Esperanto publishing is the size of the potential market (small), the cost of acquiring translation rights, and the number of years over which publishing has occurred.
Given these restrictions, I still maintain the that number of books that have been produced in Esperanto is surprisingly high.
Here's just a small selection of translated works which I have in my personal library or I know to exist. Where I am not sure or the title in the original language, I have given the title in Esperanto.
La Fremdulo (Camus), Lingvo kaj Menso (Chomsky) A Christmas Carol (Dickens), Othello (Shakespeare), Treasure Island (Stevenson), The Bible, The Koran, The Hound of the Baskervilles (Conan Doyle), The Stainless Steel Rat (Harrison), The Origin of Species (Darwin), Winnie the Pooh (Milne), Maigret Hezitas (Simenon), The Fellowship of the Ring (Tolkien), Alice in Wonderland (Dodgson), and finally Chairman Mao's little Red Book.
So my question to you BlackWolf is - Do you find that surprising?
By the way, a good way to get hold of out of print books is to contact your local Esperanto Soc. for second-hand copies. Esperanto Books tend to get recycled within the Esperanto-speaking community.

Ne forgesu unu de la plej interesaj historiaj libroj en Esperanto, Maskerado, kiu estis tradukita al Anglan kaj multaj aliaj lingvoj.
Mi pensas se oni estos tre flua en Esperanto, oni povas paroli pri ĉion en Esperanto? Sed se ni forgesas la vorto ĝi ne estas problemo se ni uzas la vorto de alia lingvo, ĉiukaze Esperanto estas vivanta lingvo. Ekzemple la alia tago mi ne sciis la vorto por la Cempadak frukto en Esperanto (eble ĉempadako?). Sed fakte la vorto ankaŭ ne ekzistas en Anglan ĉar kvankam Cempadak kaj Durian estas uzita en Anglan, tiuj vortoj estas fakte Malajaj vortoj, do tial oni ankaŭ povas diri ke oni ne povas diri ĉion en la Anglan!
