Zam_franca:Jes (you don't need translation), it's like in "fiancé". But just go here, in lernu.net, in grammar, alphabet and pronunciation and you'll be able to prononce it correctly.Thanks. Is the pronunciation of 'e' on Lernu meant to be [e] or [ɛ]? It sounds like [ɛ] on the interactive IPA chart I linked, but the grammar section under the recordings says that 'e' is meant to be pronounced as [e].
EDIT: Oh no, I somehow managed to post this thread in the wrong sub-forum.
EDIT 2: And now I've accidentally hid the message! Arghh!
EDIT 3: Re-posted this in correct sub-forum. Sorry for the mess.

Esperanto does not have [ɛ], so it should be [e].

MiMalamasLaAnglan:Sorry, I reposted this in another sub-forum just as you posted your message. Think I messed this thread up. (Link). Perhaps we can continue our discussion there.aaronshenhao:Esperanto ne havas [ɛ], do ĝi devus esti [e].Zam_franca:Jes (you don't need translation), it's like in "fiancé". Is the pronunciation of 'e' in the grammar section actually the real sound of [e], or do you mean it should be [e] but isn't?
