It took me a while, but I FINALLY figured out Anki — see this post. I have a handful of Esperanto decks I use to increase my vocabulary. For example, the deck "Esperanto Affixes" is quite good. I found "Ace Correlatives Like a Native™" And I am building, lesson by lesson, a deck for the Lernu course (right now through lesson 11).

I find that it takes only a few minutes a day to whip through the currently active cards, and it really works well — see the post linked above (with video) on how to install and use it.

So I'm curious: how many here do use Anki?

I have never used any flashcards and I actually had to google a little to be sure what they are.

For some years ago I looked for a mind map program and landed on Xmind. I've created a couple mind maps with it and of course I have an Esperanto one, which you can download from my Dropbox. The map is in Esperanto and Finnish. Feel free to take a look and adapt it for your purposes.

Thanks. I will do that now.

I've found Anki's combination of active recall and spaced repetition extremely effective, particularly in decks whose cards include audio. You might check that out as well.

UPDATE> Could not download. Do not know why.

Hmm, for me Dropbox tries to create a preview bu fails and then gives an option to download. This on desktop browsers (Google Chrome, Firefox and Opera). But okey here is a link that bypasses that preview phase. Sorry for inconvenience.

Mi eksukcesis pri X-mind. Ĝia celo ŝajnas iome malsama kiel tio de Anki. Anki celas nur ĉe vortakireco kaj vortscio, kaj ĝi bone faras tion. Sed X-mind estas tre interesa. Dankon.

Mi sugestas, ke vi instalas Anki kaj provis uzi ĝin. Vi vidos pri kion mi parolas.
